Our Sidama beans are wet processed, also known as washed, which gives them a rich, full body, sweet and complex flavor, low acidity, and a bright, soft finish. They are also available in a sun-dried variety, which has rich fruit flavors and hints of jasmine that shine through even in a dark roast, adding dark chocolate notes to the overall flavor profile.
Grown at elevations of 1,500 – 2,200 meters above sea level, these beans are classified as Strictly High Grown (SHG) or Strictly Hard Bean (SHB). This means they are grown slowly and have more time to absorb nutrients, developing robust flavors based on the local climate and soil conditions.
Ethiopia’s Sidama coffees are known for their rich body and complex flavor, as well as a bright and vibrant aftertaste that is consistent from year to year. This makes them a staple Ethiopian coffee for any roaster. With a pungent, complex flavor and wild acidity, Ethiopian coffee is some of the best premium coffee in the world. We can’t wait for you to try our Arabica Sidama beans and discover the unique tastes of this special region.
